My name is Ben , I am from NY and moved a couple years ago to Florida. I moved to Key West December of 2006, I moved here because I I like to fish. I am a pretty simple person I only like a few things and fishing being one of the them I figured I should move to where there is the best and most varieties of fishing. I shot my first fish via a spear gun may/ June of 2007, I think , and every since I have been hooked.
Its so much fun, even a bad day when you don’t get many fish is still fun, which is kind of different then hook and line fishing. I also have always like swimming under water since I was little so that works out. Free diving is also kick ass exercise, which is much better then sitting in a boat all day waiting for the bite.
I have kept in the past a log of info on fishing trips. This was very useful in finding fish , bait etc . I would just look back to the year before to see where the bait/fish would be. I don’t think a record of spearfishing trips will be quite as useful but its still a good record and it’s actually sort of fun building a website around something you like.
I have Sailfish 218cc for a boat, I love it most of the time, but like every boat there are times when the relationship is strained.
I live with my girlfriend Catherine, she loves the water too.
Always looking for riders to help split the expenses, there is some killer reef structure west of Key West but unfortunately you got to burn some gas to get there. Or if you are looking for someone to split expenses on your boat, contact me.
I can swim all day and know how to run a boat.
